    When he wasn't yelling at himself and breaking two rackets, defending champion Sam Querrey kept it together long enough to beat Rainer Schuettler 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (7) in the quarterfinals of the Farmers Classic on Friday. The second-seeded American used back-to-back big serves in the tiebreaker to win at the Los Angeles Tennis Center on the UCLA campus.
  • Azarenka ousts defending champ Bartoli (AP)
    Victoria Azarenka beat defending champion Marion Bartoli 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 on Friday in the Bank of the West Classic quarterfinals, ending the Frenchwoman's run of eight straight victories in the event. "Every single game was tough," Bartoli said. "It was hard to win some easy points because I was fighting and running so much.
  • Chela rips top seed Davydenko in Croatia (AP)
    Eighth-seeded Juan Ignacio Chela routed top-seeded Nikolay Davydenko 6-2, 6-1 on Friday to reach the Croatia Open semifinals. Davydenko, from Russia, only held serve once against Chela, the Argentine who will play Potito Starace of Italy on Saturday. Starace beat No. 3 Ivan Ljubicic of Croatia 6-4, 7-6 (6).

Registrations are open! Sign up and join SacCityTennis.com and let's make this the best website for Tennis players in the Sacramento Area.

Registration is easy and I wrote a short tutorial to get you started. In short, register by filling out your profile, check your email, click on a link and you are done. Come back t the site and start using the forum, the gallery, etc. Do excuse us if somre things are still not working perfectly, I built the site 3 days ago and I am still working on a few things. Each time a new area is ready to go, I will send out an email with instructions to let you know of it.
